If it's between the hours of 7AM and 10PM, I typically respond within minutes. Also, due to the nature of the timing of creating the fingerprint and personalized items, I don't typically offer proofs before creating items unless the buyer understands there may be delays in processing speed.

What’s the best way to get a fingerprint?

What you’ll need: Pencil/Scotch Tape/Blank Paper Step 1: Using a PENCIL, draw a smudge on a white piece of paper (it will act as the “ink pad”). Step 2: Press the finger onto the smudge of pencil (even if you don’t see any of the pencil on the finger, it’ll still show up on the TAPE) Step 3: take a piece of clear tape and press it onto the finger (really make sure the sticky part is covering the whole area that was pressed onto the pencil) Step 4: peel the tape off the finger and lay it sticky side down on a blank area of the white paper Step 5: take a clear image of the fingerprint with a smartphone (bright natural light works best) Step 6: message or email me the image: shop@carmellasjewelry.com

Gift wrapping and packaging

I ship all my orders in recyclable sturdy padded envelopes. Each item (regardless whether it's marked as a gift...they're still gifts if you're buying it for yourself!) comes gift-wrapped in either a muslin bag or an organza bag (colors my vary).

How to care for your aluminum ring, necklace, or bracelet

Each of these rings is designed and handcrafted by me in my studio in Aldie, Virginia. These rings are created using solid aluminum, which is lightweight but very strong and perfect for creating beautiful, adjustable, customizable, and affordable jewelry! One thing that’s great about aluminum, is that it won’t tarnish over time. It’s also not reactive to most skin types so it won’t turn your skin green.* *If you see a darkening of your skin under the ring, it's more likely the ink I use to darken the custom engravings and is sometimes known to rub off on the skin during the first few days of wear. If this occurs to you, don’t fear, just clean out the ring with warm soapy water and a towel and you should have no further issues.
