Tiffany & Co. 9" Rock Cut Crystal Bowl with Box

This low, wide crystal bowl is cut with bold geometric facets. Deep geometric cutting increases light reflection, giving the bowl visual presence even without ornament. The interior, on the other hand, remains smooth and open, allowing the clarity and weight of the crystal to stand out. These combine to let the graphic quality of the cut pattern steal the show. Made for Tiffany & Co. in Germany during the late 20th century, the bowl reflects Tiffany’s modern decorative crystal production, where clean geometry and precise cutting replaced more elaborate ornament.
