Who ever said vintage Ashtrays can't be put to good use these days? How about using this beauty as a jewelry holder, trinket tray, loose change depository, unusual (and quite fabulous!) candy dish or simply for a cooler-than-cool display piece?

This true Dog Lover's Ceramic Ashtray, with its figural Boxer Dog styling and fabulously clean and glossy black (with gold accents) glaze, is truly unique and truly a rare find! Hand crafted by "Mother" and gifted to "Bill" on Christmas Day in 1956 (see last listing photo for the handwritten inscription on the underside of the base), this beauty is still in good condition, with no cracks or crazing, but it does have wear issues: there is loss of the gold paint around the rim (and in other areas), and there is a small (1/8") chip on the rim. Other than these two small imperfections, this Boxer beauty has certainly stood the test of time! Please take a look at all of my listing photos for an accurate view of the condition of this 70+ year old Ashtray.

Measures an impressive 10" from side to side, 7" from top to bottom and has an overall height of 5-1/2".
