Will my vintage item be packaged well?

We take great care in packaging our items to ensure a safe journey to their new home so you can buy in confidence. In keeping with the reuse and recycle ethos of buying vintage we use recycled packaging to reduce waste. Your vintage item will most likely arrive wrapped in a mixture of reused bubble wrap, tissue paper, brown paper and newspaper, in a cardboard box or jiffy bag that has been used before. We do however use packing tape as we have found that sticky paper tape doesn't hold packages together well enough when sending fragile items.

What shipping method is used?

We send all UK packages by Royal Mail signed for services. The default postal service is second class signed for, but you can upgrade to first class signed for at checkout if you wish to receive your purchase faster. All international packages are sent by Royal Mail tracked airmail.

Vintage from the 1910s

A lovely little antique early 1900s book - Love Songs by R Browning (Lyrics and Love Songs by Robert Browning), published by Collins Clear Type Press (no publishing date). Hard Back with dark cream textured boards and pretty art nouveau cover art design on the front. Decorative end papers and lovely colour picture plates. The top edges of the pages are tinted gold

The dimensions of the book are approximately 4 and 1/4 inches x 5 and 3/4 inches x just under 1/2 an inch thick.#

In used vintage condition but good for a book of its age, with a couple of points to note. The cover boards have wear and soiling as seen in the photos. There is a name label on the front end paper which reads 'This book belongs to Moya Williams). There is some age darkening of the pages, some fox marks, and there are a couple of places in the book where the page edges are separating at the spine, but they are still secure.
