FAQ’s

Q: How do I specify my custom dimensions and paint colour?
A: It’s incredibly simple! Before ordering, click the "Message Seller" or "Request Custom Order" button. Let us know your required Width, Depth, and Height, along with your chosen wood type for the lid and your exact paint colour brand/shade name. We will send you a personalized, no-obligation quote and a private link to purchase.
Q: Which paint brands and colours can you match?
A: We can match any paint colour from any major brand. Most of our clients choose luxury shades from Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Dulux Heritage, or Paint & Paper Library. Simply provide us with the brand name and the exact colour code or shade name when you message us or order.
Q: What wood choices do I have for the lid finish?
A: Our baseline price includes your choice of a premium Solid Oak or Solid Pine lid. The pine offers a warmer, more uniform traditional look, while the oak provides a harder-wearing surface with stunning, luxurious grain patterns. Both are finished with a premium, hard-wearing protective oil that is water-resistant and easy to wipe clean.
Q: Does the lid slam shut, or are there safety hinges?
A: Safety and quality are our priorities. Every storage bench is fitted with premium stay hinges. This prevents the heavy solid wood lid from slamming down, protecting little fingers and ensuring smooth, luxury functionality every time you open it. please let us know if you’d like soft closing hinges installed.
Q: Can the bench be safely sat on?
A: Absolutely. The bench frame is handcrafted using robust, traditional joinery techniques, and topped with a thick, solid timber lid. It is structurally engineered to easily and comfortably support the weight of adults sitting down at the same time to change shoes.
Q: How long will it take to build and deliver my bench?
A: Because each bench is built completely from scratch to your exact specifications, our standard lead time is 4-6weeks from the date of order. We will keep you updated throughout the build process and send a tracking link as soon as it is dispatched with our specialist furniture courier.
