Hardware change to silver/gold?

All gold components on the charms in my shop are made from gold-plated hardware, which will naturally develop a brassy tone over time. This gradual change is a normal reaction and, unfortunately, cannot be prevented. Here are some ways to slow down the oxidation; - Keep the item dry — avoid exposing it to water. - Minimize contact with the metal surfaces, as skin oils, sweat, and moisture can accelerate tarnishing. - Avoid using chemical cleaners, as these can strip away the plating and expose the brass underneath.
