Handmade Framed Ohio Star Quilt:Classic Bed Quilt made to order

Handmade Ohio Star quilt framed in one inch strips made to order in any size and color you choose.

This quilt features the classic Ohio Star blocks created with navy fabric set on pure crisp white background of cotton solid fabric. Each block features stars that are framed in a one inch strip of matching fabric, creating a focus on each star.

This traditional pattern has been a favorite for many generations and would make a much appreciated handmade gift for wedding or baby shower, housewarming gift or birthday gift.

All fabric here is highest quality designer fabric, 100% cotton, and created to last for years to come.

The quilting stitch is free motion in one of three optional all-over designs: curvy meander, swirls, or rectilinear meander. photos of each will be provided upon ordering.

HOW ITS MADE

The top layer of the quilt is sewn together, piece by piece, on my Bernina machine. Colors and fabric designs are carefully chosen and coordinated prior to cutting and stitching. Creating the quilt top is typically the longest part of the process.

The middle layer is hidden, inside the top and bottom layer, and is a soft layer of batting made from Quilters Dream brand cotton.

The bottom or back layer of the quilt is made of a cotton solid or print fabric that coordinates with the top.

All three layers are sandwiched together, then carefully quilted in a pattern that results in a look that complements the looks of the entire quilt.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

All quilts can be machine washed in cold water, and machine dried. With each wash, the quilt will become softer.
