This is a bundle of the advanced beginner to intermediate level PDF crochet patterns for the Astrid Astrid children’s dress and Jonas children’s sweater. They are written in English and in US terminology. The patterns include detailed instructions and pictures for the different techniques used. They explain how to read the graphs for the colourwork. The dress and sweater panels are worked from the top down and use mostly half double crochet as well as single crochet and Romanian chord stitches (Astrid dress). Since the non-working yarn is always being carried, there are not as many ends to weave in as you might first think. The patterns also comes with lookbooks of my testers’ beautiful versions.
The Astrid children’s dress pattern is graded for sizes 1 year, 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, 8 years and 10 years. The sizes thereby correspond to chest sizes 46-71 cm or 18.5-28 inches. The dress has between 16-18 cm (6.3-7.1”) of positive ease around the widest part of the chest depending on what size you choose. The gauge for the pattern in half double crochet stitches is 18 stitches x 13 rows (10x10 cm or 4x4 inches). If you don’t know how to make a gauge swatch, this is explained in the pattern.

The materials needed for the Astrid children’s dress are:
✿ 3.5 mm crochet hook (or hook to meet the gauge)
✿ Super fine (weight 1) cotton yarn:
-some yarn suggestions: DROPS Safran, Friends Cotton 8/4
-If you want to make the dress longer you will need more yarn

The Jonas children’s sweater pattern is graded for sizes 1 year, 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, 8 years, 10 years and 12 years. The sizes thereby correspond to chest sizes 46-76 cm or 18.5-30 inches. The sweater has between 19-22 cm (7.5-8.7”) of positive ease around the widest part of the chest depending on what size you choose. The gauge for the pattern in half double crochet stitches is 16 stitches x 12 rows (10x10 cm or 4x4 inches). If you don’t know how to make a gauge swatch, this is explained in the pattern.

The materials needed are:
🦕 4 mm crochet hook (or hook size to meet the gauge)
🦕 1 strand of fingering weight yarn (weight 1) held together with 1 strand of lace weight yarn (weight 0) OR DK weight yarn (weight 3) in at least two colours
