What type of boning do you use in your corsets?

We use synthetic whalebone, which is more historically accurate, durable, and comfortable to wear than steel boning. Steel boning was not used until the Victorian era, and only used because steel was easier to manufacture than sourcing whalebone. Now that synthetic whalebone is available and a suitable alternative, it is agreed upon by many fashion historians as the best type of boning to use.

Do you accept returns/exchanges?

We understand that sometimes things don't work out! We happily accept returns on items that are unworn, unused, and undamaged. Items must be shipped back within 14 days of original delivery date (as marked by your tracking information). All returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee, and original shipping costs will not be refunded. You must include your order number or packing slip so that we can identify your order. To begin the return process, please send us a message on Etsy. We are not able to process exchanges. The best way to exchange an item is to return it and purchase a new item.

How should I clean my corset?

To keep your corset in its best condition, it is not recommended to wear your corset directly against your skin. Keep body oils and sweat off of your corset by wearing one of our chemises under your corset. If you must wash the corset, we recommend dry cleaning only.

Where are you located and do you have a storefront?

We are located about two hours north of San Francisco in Sebastopol, California .At this time, we do not have a physical location or a store front of any kind, since we are still a very small business. Maybe one day!

What happened to your handmade items?

Although we handmade our corsets and other clothing items for over 7 years, we decided to discontinue our handmade items in order to maintain a more sustainable business model, protect our team from burn out, offer more affordable pricing, and focus more on bringing you new designs to fall in love with. While we're not sure at the moment if our handmade items will return, we can assure you that the same love and care is put into every one of our designs.

A very basic clothing item and yet so versatile! The color is so beautiful and shiny without being gaudy, and this can be worn as a basic chemise, as a loose dress, tightened around the waist with the ties, or even as a skirt! I need more. 😂
