We decided to pair these two antique books because they are both great but not mint, so, will be a nice addition to an Alice collection! The first book is released circa 1925 although no date inside, It is the fifth printing of this edition, printed by Ward, Lock & Co, LTD London and Melbourne. Although missing the dust jacket, this publication is highly sought after for the illustrations by Margaret Tarrent which are included in the form of 48 color plates within the book. Binding is slightly askew but not by much. Spine wear and wear to exterior boards from age. See all photos for details. The second book is released circa 1911 and also has no copyright date. This oversized edition includes both Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in one large book. It is missing the first few pages so is missing the one color illustration which would have been at the front. The cover is also coming away from the binding (could be reglued but I'm selling as is.). Please see all photos for condition. The great thing is that the book is full of John Tenniel's classic black and white illustrations which everyone associates with the series! Published by McLoughlin Brothers, New York.
