IG inspired me to make a repurposed sling from a Trader Joe’s cooler bag, and this was the closest pattern I could find that matched my style. Overall, the project went really well as a confident beginner. I made two—my first was a test run, and the one shown in my photo is my second attempt. The instructions suggested topstitching in certain areas, which I tried, but I actually liked the finished look better after removing them (lol). This was easy to download and print, the instructions were clear, the process was straightforward, and I ended up with a really satisfying bag. I’d definitely recommend this pattern, especially if you’re newer and feeling ready to level up.

I got this pattern for my partner who sews, and it’s really well put together. The instructions are super clear, and there are a bunch of build options to choose from. We’re planning to make a crossbody version as a camera bag. I like that it has padding and can be used a few different ways. It’s a solid design and the PDF was easy to download and follow.
