Antique Arts and Crafts Hammered Pewter Metal Wooden Box, Rectangular Hinged Trinket, Jewellery Box.

With a central cabochon in a black, dark blue, and turquoise abstract pattern, I’m not quite sure what the cabochon is made of.
Hammered pewter metal with some raised ripples. Wood lined.
In the style of Ruskin.
Late 19th to early 20th Century.

Exterior: 23 x 13 x 7cm
Interior: 19.8 x 10.8cm

Fair to good antique condition.
The exterior is in good condition with light signs of age and wear. The wooden base has a few light marks. The interior wood has some age related discolouration and marks and some of the interior raised rim has chipped off and is no longer present (see photos 8 & 9). Opens and closes well.
