Pair of Antique French Oak Wood Wall Shelves Brackets Sconces Lion Gargoyle

Seller's description

Description:
This pair of carved wall shelves (sconces or brackets) dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's and was crafted in France. Constructed from solid oak, each features a dramatic lion or gargoyle surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves and bold Renaissance-style detailing. The tops have molded edges, making them ideal for displaying statuary, vases, or other decorative accents. Their bold expression and deep carving reflect the Renaissance Revival style, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of the period.

Like all our antiques, they were thoughtfully sourced in Europe, imported to our Oregon warehouse, and carefully finished with antique-grade paste wax to preserve their beauty for years to come.
