Seller's description
This Replica of a Herodian Lamp was patterned after the style of lamp used during the time of Jesus. It is the perfect side and shape to help bring the Biblical story of the 10 virgins to life. What is better is that it is made of a durable clay that is completely vitrified. These lamps are functional. When sealed, they will hold oil without leaking, and are less fragile than the low-fire clay lamps found elsewhere. If you want to seal the lamps so you can use them with oil seeping out of them, we are now offering 7-gram packets of beeswax pellets. Each packet is enough to seal a single lamp. Please make sure to add this option if you are using these as functional items.
This lamp is hand-made using a press mold, just like they were made 2000 years ago. This lamp is made in the U.S.A. Please contact me for special pricing on bulk orders.
The new clay we are using is more terracotta colored than the original beige we started with. The pictures have been updated to show the new color, but the video shows the original color.
