Each tie bar is handcrafted by Detroit artist Bethany Shorb, founder of Cyberoptix Tie Lab. Stones are personally sourced during Arizona gem show season, ensuring every piece meets collector-grade standards before being designed and finished in her Detroit studio.

• One tie clip
• Works well for both a regular wide width and middle width tie, but not ultra retro skinny.
• Choose chrome plated or antique brass tie clip hardware
• Stone averages ~1/2 inch for Regular - and ~2/3 inch at it's largest for the XL. See US penny coin for scale
• Using traditional lapidary techniques, I work the back of the stone to properly seat it in the bezel cup - then the specimen is securely attached to the hardware with aircraft-grade bonding/jeweler's cement. The reverse attachment point is then finally coated in resin to help prevent damage while wearing or if dropped and to make one uniform surface
• Handmade in-house using natural, un-dyed stones.
• Stone origin: Mined near the town of Tabasco, southwest of Zacatecas, Mexico. Sourced in-person from the Tucson Gem Show. Hand-selected, extra quality stones

Each tie bar is made with a genuine natural geode half, hand-cut and polished to reveal its crystalline interior. As with all real stones, no two are ever identical — expect beautiful natural variations in shape, crystal structure, and hue. Some will show tighter druzy clusters with high sparkle, while others reveal broader crystal formations or subtle color banding.

All pieces are carefully selected for proportion and clarity, ensuring every one meets the same quality and visual balance as shown.
