Absolutely magnificent, rare, antique, French, bronze, Gothic style dragon and crystal chandelier. Circa late 1800's

This striking chandelier is in generally very good condition considering its age, but does naturally show some aging, tarnishing, patination and wear to its bronze surfaces and has the arms and framework in highly detailed, solid, cast bronze depicting upward facing dragons. The 4 bronze branches terminate in 4 very beautiful crystal drip trays. The centrepiece of this stunning chandelier is a highly detailed bronze and crystal hub, culminating in the 4 arms and a stunning large, highly detailed, bronze, ceiling rose.
The chandelier is hung with its original crystal glassware, comprising of the glass central column sections, 4 gorgeous graduated crystal chains and the 4 crystal drip trays. All the crystals are in good condition, considering their age, but it is important to note that these are the original antique crystals and do show some very minor age related roughness to their edges, which does not affect the overall impression of this chandelier and captures the light with a wonderful intensity, which augments the already magnificent chandelier. A beautiful and authentic, high quality, rare and gothic addition to any home.
