Full measurements and weights in Metric units are available on all pieces. All tables / shelves are made-to-order and customisable up to 40 x 40 x 60 cm. Simply leave a comment in the "personalisation" section of the Product Display Page. If you require a size larger than 40 x 40 x 60 cm, please message me to discuss your proposed design first so I can confirm if it's possible and provide a quote. I'll do my best to create a piece that is absolutely PERFECT for you and your space, so please "ask and you shall receive"!

Custom and personalised orders

Custom orders are my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE to make! I love the creative process, so I'm always happy to provide a discount for these. I know it's scary as a buyer to purchase something which doesn't even have a listing picture so if you choose to trust me to bring your design to life, of course I will do my best to create a piece that you love. I'm happy to recreate other artists' work (especially if that person doesn't sell this kind of art or is based outside of the UK (shipping costs are crazy...), for example you see a woodworking piece and think "huh that would look awesome with tiles") but you need to let me know who the original artist is so that I can credit them properly, and so that I know not to list the item as my own design!

Most furniture pieces are tiled and grouted on all sides, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor usage. To clean them, simply wipe with a damp cloth. Depending on the grout colour / if the tiles are matte, some pieces are prone to staining. For this reason I do offer options with a tempered glass top, which is custom cut to size. So this can serve as a normal tabletop, or for wider bases, be exact to serve as a protective top. Please feel free to message me and I can recommend a solution that will work for your needs.

Wholesale availability

All my pieces are Hand-Made by me in London. For this reason, I cannot offer wholesale / bulk orders on short notice. If you are interested in a bulk order, please reach out via DM and I can provide a lead time estimate and bulk discount. It all depends on your definition of "bulk" :)

Gift wrapping and packaging

I'm happy to gift wrap items and action any requests for special notes, and I don't charge extra for this. Please leave a comment in the order or message me for this.

What tiles do you use?

My pieces fit into two main categories: - Stone / Rustic tiles: travertine, marble - glossy / modern tiles: porcelain, ceramic, tempered glass I will always put the material of the tile as well alongside each colour option, it all depends on the vibe you're going for. Please check the listing carefully for the tile material, as some tiles are more prone to staining or scratching than others. If you need a cheaper price, it's a good idea to give me discretion over the particular tile brand / size used, as tiles are often the most expensive part of any build. For example, you can say that you want "dark blue tiles" but not necessarily the ones I used in that listing. This will create some wiggle room in the pricing structure.

Why "BlackIceWorkshop"?

The name comes from a youtube channel I started two years ago. At the time my creative outlet was to paint nails. I initially started this shop as a way to sell press-on-nails (but clearly transitioned to selling furniture after taking a 1 year break). Maybe I'll change the name in the future, but for now, I like that my youtube subscribers can find my shop easily and continue to support me, even though I'm not a "nail youtuber" anymore :)

As an Egyptian, I just have a weird historic fascination with chess tables and checkerboards in general. Chess is such a huge part of our culture, enjoyed by almost everyone, and I feel so proud to be able to incorporate it into my pieces to create this side table.

In this mosaic design, I experimented with two-tone natural marble tiles and a warm terracotta grout to create a piece which feels warm and luxurious. The chess table also features storage and is tiled on all sides.
