Victorian faux fur jacket with matching hat. The deep brown color of the velvety fabric looks so luxurious and will keep you warm in winter, the jacket has full - large- puff sleeves that narrow to the waist. There is a 2 1/2” round collar that closes with a metal hook. The larger, black rounded oval buttons close the front. The bodice hugs the body then the skirt flares out very wide. The jacket is lined in stripe polished cotton. There are two, darling, heart shaped pockets on the front section made out of the fur fabric. The neck line and the hem were frayed with age and our Restoration Expert repaired these areas with black ribbon covered in black lace. The buttons were re-attached with clear ones inside to protect the lining and make them stronger. The hat was reclined, at some point, in heavy red satin. The ribbon and lace were added to match the jacket; just because❣️the hat’s rim is a 2” band with the back being gathered at the crown and at the nape of the neck. Hat 20” across the front, front to back 16” including the 2” rim. It fits loosely on the head; very comfortable and warm. Jacket: bust 34”, waist 28”, hips 40”, hem 57” all round, sleeve puffs 30” round, wides at underarm line, sleeve narrows to 14”— 10” up from wrist, wrist is 10” round,sleeves are 34” long; neck 16”, shoulder to shoulder 13” at seams / 18” edge of puff sleeves, length 27”. There is a 9” vent in the back with a 3” overlap. Dry clean only.
