Printable SLAB BUILDING TEMPLATE for a wavy mug.

This template offers a fun and different take on the traditional mug shape with a wavy design. The shape would also work well as a vase or a matching jug if enlarged! As full instructions are included this project is suitable for beginners, as well as experienced potters looking for a ready to use template.

The pdf file you will receive includes a full photo tutorial guiding you through the process of building the mug, all the way from rolling out the clay slab to the finished shape, ready to be fired and glazed.

This template makes a mug that is approximately 10 cm high after glaze firing, depending on the shrinkage rate of the clay used. The size can however easily be amended by scaling the template before printing.

You could vary the shape of the mug by rounding out the angles where the segments join, or change the handle shape by using a round coil rather than a flat slab. Of course there are then the endless options of glazing and decorating to make this shape pop!
