I'm thoroughly impressed with this brooch! I bought one for myself and my wife for our ren faire garb, and I really wanted something that was hand made instead of mass produced. This brooch is really well made. The smith who made it is very talented. There's just enough little details so you can tell it was handmade. It holds a cloak really well, and despite being steel it's lighter than you would think. It would make an awesome gift for the ren faire/SCA person in your life.
