How do you calculate the price of an item?

The price of the item is determined by the cost of materials, the amount of time the piece took to make, and any other additional costs.

Will tarnish resistant copper wire turn my skin green? I have had that reaction to copper in the past.

No! The tarnish resistant coating on my copper wire doesn't only keep the wire shiny and new for the duration of its lifetime, but it also protects your skin from turning green! You will not have the same reaction to my tarnish resistant copper wire as you do with bare copper wire.

The free shipping you offer is USPS Ground Advantage. Is there a way to ship priority?

Absolutely! Please select the upgrade to USPS Priority at checkout for an additional fee. I also try to ship priority orders within 1 business day, as opposed to within 3 business days for standard shipping.

What's the best way to take care of my jewelry?

Make sure you store it properly. When you are not wearing it, keep your jewelry in a dark and dry place, such as a drawer, or jewelry box. Remove your jewelry before showering or bathing. Do not sleep with your jewelry on to avoid any bending of the wires. If you want to clean your jewelry, you can do so with antibacterial soap and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth. Be cautious cleaning jewelry with water sensitive stones, such as certain types of opals (with hydrophane opals or other water sensitive stones, try using a polishing cloth to polish the metal instead of submerging the piece in water). Does my order come with shipping insurance?

All domestic orders with a purchase price of $100 or less come with automatic shipping insurance through USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail. If your order is over $100, additional insurance will be purchased at no extra charge to you for the entirety of the package value. International orders will automatically be insured as well so long as the insurance cost is reasonable. If the cost is deemed unreasonable, you will be notified via Etsy messages prior to your order shipping and have the opportunity to purchase insurance for your order.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations are strictly allowed for true accidental purchases. You have one hour from the time of purchase to submit a request for cancellation and a full refund. After one hour, cancellations requests will not be approved and the items purchased will be shipped to you. Please be sure when doing a multi-shop checkout on Etsy, that you mean to be purchasing from Schatzhaus.

What if I forgot to purchase an item? Do I have to pay shipping twice?

If you forgot to purchase an item and want to add something to your order that has not yet shipped out, that's no problem! If Etsy charges you for shipping twice, you will be refunded for any shipping overages. If the new total before shipping is $100 or more, you will be refunded all shipping charges and granted free shipping! Please do send me a message to notify me that you have placed multiple orders, so I do not overlook any shipping overages and may refund them to you in a timely manner.

What is your return/refund policy?

You have 30 days from the time of receiving your items to open a refund request and ship back the items you want to return. Once the items are received in the condition in which they were sent to you, your refund for those items will be submitted less the cost of initial shipping. If you are returning items because you received incorrect or damaged items, I will pay for return shipping, but you must send me photos of the items and/or packaging first. If the package was insured, you must hold the damaged goods until the insurance claim has been processed. If you are returning items because you do not like them but they fully meet the description of the listing from which you purchased, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Are there items that cannot be returned?

All items can be returned within 30 days of receiving the item, except for items that were purchased during a sale, custom made items, and the vending machine; these items may not be returned, and all sales on these items are final.
