Welcome to The Onio Archives!

This striking estate necklace features beautifully detailed Tibetan silver elements (likely silver overlay over brass) paired with rich black beads and eye-catching gemstone inlay work. Five strands of small black beads come together at ornate silver and black onyx inlay centerpieces, giving the necklace a bold, dimensional look with a touch of vintage charm.

The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long and was acquired from an estate. While I’m unsure of its exact age or origin, the craftsmanship and intricate detailing suggest it was made with great care. A unique statement piece that adds texture, contrast, and artisanal elegance to any jewelry collection.

I’m a lawyer with a passion for all things vintage. After opening my vintage home goods shop on Etsy, The Onio Collection (check it out!) I decided to venture into the jewelry business. I am a hobbyist/collector and many items I sell are from my own collection. I also source pieces from all over the country and will occasionally sprinkle in some modern items that I have designed or made myself using estate gemstones.

The Onio Archives is a collection of unique, timeless jewelry that has been carefully curated to fit a variety of styles and budgets. I do my best to identify each piece while keeping costs low for the buyer. This means that I do a ton of research and some testing of each item (such as a diamond tester, magnets, a jewelry scale, and a few different types of magnification) but please keep in mind that this is not my area of expertise, I am not a professional jeweler, and there’s a chance that I could miss the mark. Carat weight and other details are especially difficult when working with stones that are already placed in a setting.

If you would like to see additional photos or a video of any item, please let me know and I would be happy to provide those. I try to photograph and note any imperfections I find, and it is unlikely that any vintage or antique item will be in mint condition. I encourage all buyers to take their jewelry for regular maintenance with their local jeweler.
