Most of your jewelry is gold filled, what does gold filled mean vs. gold plated?

Gold filled jewelry has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated jewelry. This means gold filled jewelry is more durable, will hold up better and last longer than gold plated jewelry. Gold filled jewelry will last a lifetime if properly cared for.

How do I care for my jewelry so it will last a lifetime?

Gold filled jewelry rarely needs to be cleaned due to the fact that it won't tarnish unless exposed to harsh conditions, but to keep your pieces looking shiny and new, I suggest the following cleaning methods. 1. Use a SOFT toothbrush (or just your fingers) and mild soapy water. Be sure not to scrub too hard - you don't want to scratch the surface! 2. Gently wipe with an untreated jewelry polishing cloth. To clean Sterling Silver jewelry, use a polishing cloth. Sterling tends to tarnish over time so cleaning your pieces regularly will keep them looking shiny. Try a jewelry cloth specifically designed for cleaning sterling silver - it is pre-treated with gentle chemicals to restore its natural brilliance.
