Beautifully unique spalted bowl blanks perfect for woodturning, carving, or custom woodworking projects. Each blank is air-dried, showcasing natural spalting patterns and character that make every piece one-of-a-kind.
Available species include:
🌳 Spalted Maple – Striking black-line spalting with light creamy tones. The heavier the spalting, the softer the wood. Some will include curl figure.
🌳 Spalted Oak – Rich texture and visible grain with spalting contrast, mostly in the sapwood.
🌳 Spalted Poplar – Lighter softer wood with bold yet moderate spalting lines.
🌳Spalted Sweet gum - Colorful with moderate spalting.
🌳 Pecan – Strong and durable, with warm hues. Some blanks include curly figure.
🌳 White Oak & Red Oak – Classic, dense hardwoods with various figuring.
🌳A very soft and light wood. A mix of yellow and rainbow poplar.

Widths: 4” - 12” square
Thickness: Average 2 1/4" Can vary from 2" tp 2 1/2"

Air-dried only (not kiln-dried)
Each blank is individually selected for figure and spalting

Note: These blanks are air-dried and may contain some light surface checks once in a while. Spalted maple blanks may occasionally contain small black resin fills from recycled tops. The heavier the spalting, the softer the wood will be. I try to not send out anything that has big punky/soft spots. Always turn safely!
