How to use:
OT / PT goals- for children working on postural praxis, motor planning, sequencing, and body awareness skills.
Teachers- brain breaks/ movement breaks in class to aid focus and participation.
Show a card, or complete the posture/ sequence for children to copy. Ask them to come up with their own postures/ sequences, for you or their peers to copy also!
Can be shared in therapy home programs for home carryover. Choose relevant cards, depending on goals. Can be used in isolation or part of a wider OT program.
Useful for all children to aid focus and attention.
Useful for children with coordination challenges- dyspraxia/ DCD, SPD, Autism

The movement images can be used in two flexible ways, depending on the child’s needs and your setting:

1) Mirror me:
Hold the card facing the child and invite them to copy you as a mirror image
This is great for:
Early learners
Group work
Building body awareness and coordination

2) Same side (right way round):
Place the card beside the child and ask them to copy the movement exactly as shown on the card.
This supports:
Left–right discrimination
Motor planning
Directional awareness

Both approaches can be used interchangeably.
