This exquisite Victorian mourning brooch is a beautiful example of 19th-century sentimentality and craftsmanship. Crafted in tested 18K yellow gold, it features a striking black enamel background adorned with a delicate floral motif of seed pearls and a single rose cut diamond—a timeless expression of love and remembrance.

Originally designed to also serve as a locket, the back glass compartment has been lost to time, though a skilled jeweler may be able to replace or restore it if desired. The pin back appears to be a later addition and is constructed from base metal, a common historical repair that doesn’t detract from the piece’s charm or wearability.
