Highlights

High waist vintage style pants with pleated front in caramel brown 100% bio cotton corduroy. These vintage style trousers are made after original 1940s pattern. They have buttons on the inside of the waistband for braces or suspenders. The cotton corduroy has narrow ribs (21 W) and is very soft to wear, perfect for mid season weather. The trousers have a pleated front, extreme high waist with extra long zipper for closure. Two generous side pockets and welted back pockets. The trousers have a small change pocket in the front that closes with a button and strap to keep your pocket watch, car keys or other small items safe.

SIZING INFO:
The sizes are measurements of the waist in inches. To be sure please measure, jeans sizes or chino's are often sized differently, you made need to size up 1 or 2 sizes. When measuring the waist, make sure you measure high enough, just below the ribs is the right place. Take a tape measure or cord and pull it tight enough that it is comfortable. Or use a belt that you fasten to the right size and measure that to find the right size. Instructions on how to measure can be found here:

LENGTH:
The inseam of the trousers is 33 inch, that may seam short but corresponds with 36 inch jeans. There is also plenty of fabric in the turn ups. To lengthen or shorten ask for my blog for DIY or find a tailor near you to help. Usually they ask about €15 to €20 for it. Before shortening them, my advise is to wash them first. Though I test my fabrics on shrinkage, It might be different in a different machine, hardness of the water, different detergent etc. Always leave enough fabric to lengthen them if necessary.

Fabric: 100% CO weight: 145 g/m2, pockets 100% CO
Main fabric and pockets are labeled Oeko-Tex Standard

Machine wash cold with mild detergent with similar colours
leave to dry, do not bleach, iron gently on low heat, preferably up side down with a towel underneath to avoid pressing flat the velvet

The high waistline trousers look great & are very comfortable. I’m surprised how this waistline flatters the chest & shoulders if you just wear them with a shirt. The brown corduroy drapes really well & I feel produces an understated sophistication. Buttons for suspenders are sewn on, & you get some spares: nice. Size bought: 34”. (Also matching waistcoat: M) Fit: Perfect fit measured at true waist (NB not hips).There is a small adjustment buckle at the back if between sizes. Came hemmed with 5cm cuff. I had these taken up: to a 5cm cuff & a full break (1930s style). There is plenty of fabric in the legs, but I think if you were taller than 192cm/6’4” you might want to message the seller pre-purchase. Me: waist 87cm (34”) inside leg 87cm (34”) 80kg (175lb) height 182cm (6’0”) Delivery: fedex in under a week… to Australia!
