Highlights

  • Handpicked by SharedRelics
  • Vintage from the 1960s
  • Materials: Glass

This heavy mid-century art glass bowl was hand blown on the island of Murano in Italy and is likely attributed to Alfredo Barbini. He was known for using the bullicante technique which involves trapping gas bubbles in the glass during the blowing process which in turn creates the bumpy surface. The freeform shell shaped dish has pink cased interior glass with gold filled bubbles and gold wash throughout. The 5 1/2" wide by 2" tall bowl is in excellent condition with no chips and only the expected wear on the bottom.
