Rear Wiper Arm Trim/Sprayer Passthrough with BRASS FITTINGS for 1997-2001 Jeep Cherokee (XJ)

This is a replacement for the wiper arm trim/sprayer passthrough on the rear lift gate for the 1997-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ.  It has brass fittings on both sides to prevent snapping off like the original.

This does not include the gasket, the original will be reused with this new trim.


INSTALLATION:

1.  Remove the 4 screws from the top of the lift gate plastic.  Carefully remove the plastic panel from the lift gate.

2.  Pull the hose off the back side of the wiper arm trim piece (see photos for reference).

3.  Pull the wiper arm away from the window and remove.  This may take some penetrating oil and elbow grease but it should pop-off fairly easy.

4.  Remove the sprayer hose and the nut holding the trim piece in place.

5.  Pull and wiggle the original trim piece off the gate.  It may take a little prying, just be careful of the paint.

6.  Place the gasket back onto the wiper motor shaft and slide the new trim piece into place.  Reattach the nut, just get it snug, not super tight.

7.  Push the hose back into place on the backside of the wiper arm trim.  It should slide on pretty easy, be careful not to put a lateral force on the trim piece when installing the hose or it could break.  Check for leaks at this point.

8.  If everything is good, reinstall the rest of the removed parts.



***DISCLAIMER***

- These are printed in black PETG plastic.  This plastic has natural UV resistance so the color won't fade over time and won't get brittle.  This plastic can start to get soft at temperatures of 190*F.  Even in extreme environments this shouldn't be an issue.  PETG parts have been used on vehicles for long periods of time without Ill effects.

- If you break it due to not following instructions, over-tightening screws, or through use, you can fix it with some super glue or you can message me to purchase a replacement part.
