Sharing 'A Locked Tomb', a painting I made for a Halloween art show.
It's inspired by the novel 'Gideon the Ninth' by Tamsyn Muir, but let me stress it isn’t *the* Gideon.
I challenged myself on this one by not using any black paint. It was pretty tricky, but I was happy with the depth I got in the foreground, and I figured adding black to the face might make the whole thing look a bit flat.
I used acrylic ink on high quality cold pressed watercolour paper.
This painting took many, many hours and I hope it’s able to find its way to someone who’s as much of a fan of this novel as I am.
I can provide it framed or unframed, please let me know.
