A.W.Faber - Castell - 9000 - HB (made in Germany)

The company was originally created in 1761, when a carpenter under the name of Kaspar Faber (1730-1784) opened a small pencil factory in Stein, Germany. The deal was called "A.W. In 1900, an heiress of Faber Fortune (granddaughter of Lothar Faber) Married - If with a Count of Castell and the newly united A.W. Faber-Castell soon began producing a high quality line of drawing and copying "Castell" pencils.
The company has its headquarters in Stein, near Nuremberg, to this day, operating under the name Faber-Castell and has about 8000 working for the company.
