- Origin: Nha Xa traditional silk village in the north of Vietnam.
- Width: Approximately 35” or 90 cm.
- Thickness: 10 momme
- Weight: 34 gsm
- Fabric features: Lightweight, soft, and fine.
Please note that this is Habutai/Habotai silk fabric, one of the most basic plain weaves which traditionally originated from Japan. This silk is different from satin/charmeuse silk.
- How do you know if it’s real silk? The best way is to burn it and if it has a smell like you burn your hair, and when you touch the ash, it is broken into powder, then it’s real silk.
- What you can do with our silk fabric? Our silk fabric is good to use for making clothes, masks, pillowcases, sleeping bags, sleeping dresses, kimonos/robes, jewelry bags, etc.
**LENGTH: We sell by the meter (1 meter = 1.094 yard). If you buy more than 1 meter, we will cut it continuously which means you will receive one piece only.
- Washing: Dry-cleaning is the best but hand-washing separately in cold water in mild detergent or machine wash separately in delicate mode is fine.
**COLOR: Please note that the actual color of our fabric may be a little bit different due to the light effect when photos were taken and because it appears differently on different screens. Whenever it's restocked, the colors might vary slightly too.
