Highlights
Persona Obscura is a 78-card gothic masquerade tarot with gold gilded edges, heavy 400gsm cards and a black-and-gold collector's box. It started with one question: what does a person hide behind a mask when they know no one will recognize them?
🇺🇸 U.S. customers: no import duties or customs fees on delivery.
🎭 THE IDEA
We built it from Venetian balls and gothic literature, not as decoration but for what they meant. The mask was never an ornament, it was permission to drop the role for one night. Every archetype is reworked through that idea, in dramatic, almost cinematic realism. The deck shows you the person standing behind the role they play every day.
🃏 HOW IT READS
The full 78-card Rider-Waite system, Major and Minor Arcana. If you already read tarot, there's nothing to relearn, only what you see on the cards changes.
✨ THE FEEL
• Deep matte black against warm gold
• Gold gilded edges: stacked, the deck reads as a solid metal block
• 400gsm cards, thicker than most decks, and still a clean shuffle
• Two-piece box with gold foil embossing, closer to a jewelry case than card packaging
📦 CHOOSE YOUR EDITION
• Tarot in Velvet Bag
• Tarot + Guide: with the printed guidebook
• Tarot + Guide + Oracle: add the matching oracle deck
• Tarot + Oracle + Playing: the full set with matching playing cards
Single print run, no reprints. Once it sells out, the masquerade closes for good.
"The mask tells us more than the face ever could."
