The Cali Trousers feature an oversized, rounded balloon silhouette with a gently tapered hem and a cropped, slightly-above-ankle length for a clean, modern look. Designed with large side patch pockets and a comfortable elasticated waistband, they offer plenty of ease through the leg while maintaining a stylish barrel shape. Suitable for woven fabrics such as cotton twill, linen blends, denim, chambray, or lightweight canvas.
(Striped or textured fabrics work beautifully; pockets can be cut on the cross grain for contrast.)
This is an intermediate sewing pattern and requires prior sewing experience.

I’m a beginner sewer and was able to make these pants without issues. Though the design is relatively simple, I appreciate the attention to details like being told to overlock seams, press them, etc. The pockets were probably the most time consuming part, so I may omit them next time even though they look really cute!
