This is one of those pieces that feels right the moment you pick it up. A vintage three-strand twisted faux pearl necklace, dating to the mid-century years—1950s to early 1960s. The pearls are softly graduated, with larger beads at the center tapering to smaller ones, giving it that classic choker look that sits neatly at the collarbone. The faux pearls have good weight and a warm, creamy luster—not the lightweight plastic beads you see on later costume pieces. The lobster claw clasp is solid and sturdy, heavier than what you usually find on inexpensive costume jewelry, which tells you this was made to last.
