Mid Century Alvino Bagni Vase~ NuoveForme Italy Anthropologie Large Cylindrical Vase with Stripes

This is a strikingly large ceramic vase made in Italy by NuoveForme for Anthropologie. This fine ceramic piece is an simple and elegant cylinder. It is beautifully glazed in stripes of aqua green, umber, blue, and yellow. It is pre-owned but shows no signs of use or wear. There are not chips, cracks, or crazing and it resonates when handled line all quality Italian ceramics. Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a unique gift.

NUOVEFORME was founded in 1993 as a natural evolution of an older company, Alvino Bagni. The latter was well-known for decades forits high quality standards in ceramic artistry, and when the factory ceased production in 1992, its founder Signor Bagni joined Gianfranco Ghirettito form NUOVEFORME. NUOVEFORME continues to do research and experimentation on decorative techniques and colors just as Alvino Bagni did in his atelier, starting in 1946. The huge Bagni showroom indeed has become a sort of museum of unique pieces and this legacy is closely preserved by the new company. In this spirit, NUOVEFORME has found a special niche of limited runs of almost unique objects for the most discerning of buyers. While developing new designs and new techniques, NUOVEFORME revisits and revises historical archive items and invites collaboration.
