it's as described. Thick steel. Articulation is good considering the level of protection. May need to tweak them a bit, one size product so to be expected.

Some minor articulation movement past where it should go, opening it up when closed. I believe I can marry the pieces together with some light hammer work. Other than that, they are good pieces. I intend to take them to my marshal so I can fight in them. I will be adding a strap on the palm, adjust the thumb length and their probably perfect for me.

The gauntlets I received are indeed what they say they are. They look exactly like the photos. They are 16 gauge mild steel. They fit and move very well. The leather gloves are real leather and have padding on the back of the hands. The encased thumbs are really cool. Worth the price. (Mine shipped from India, not the USA, but it arrived within the time-frame stated. I was told all tariffs would be paid by the seller as they are supposed to ship from the USA, not overseas.) Good communication with the seller. Hopefully they hold up to combat. I think they will be as good as mild steel can be.
