Care Instructions

Stephania erecta prefers bright indirect light.
Avoid strong direct afternoon sun, especially right after shipping.
Use a well-draining cactus, succulent, or caudex plant soil mix.

Do not keep the caudex sitting in wet soil, as overwatering may cause rot.
Keep in a warm indoor location with good airflow.

After Arrival

Please unpack your plant as soon as possible after delivery.
Place it in a bright, shaded location for 1–2 days to recover from shipping.
Do not water immediately if the soil or roots feel moist.

If shipped bare root, plant the caudex with the white-spotted side facing down into the soil. This side should be placed downward when potting. Use dry, well-draining soil and wait a few days before watering.

Avoid repotting multiple times, overwatering, or placing it in harsh direct sunlight right after arrival.

I was very excited about my order! I received extra bulbs, which I shared with my neighbors. I didn’t receive a live plant, which is what I ordered, but I love plants! My neighbors will be placing orders soon.
