Highlights
Fantastic example of porcelain craftsmanship by Moritz Zdekauer (MZ), Altrohlau, from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, dating to approximately the 1880s.
Crafted from exquisitely thin, snow-white translucent porcelain, each piece displays remarkable delicacy and luminosity when held to the light — a defining feature of high-grade antique porcelain. The surfaces are enriched with hand-applied gilt ornamentation and a finely rendered green laurel garland, a classical motif associated with nobility, harmony, and timeless elegance.
The softly undulating silhouettes, scalloped rims, and sculptural handles reveal a mastery of form and proportion, suggesting production intended for refined domestic interiors or formal tea service rather than everyday use.
Please NOTE that the creamer has undergone an old professional repair, stabilized with metal clamps (metal staples), clearly visible in the photographs. This historic restoration reflects traditional repair methods used at the time and does not detract from the decorative or collectible value of the piece.
Minor wear to the gilding and subtle age-related traces are present, as expected for antique porcelain. All photographs form an integral part of the description.
