Pine needle cordage is a great material for use in crafting, basket making, and decorating.

As it ages, your cordage will stiffen considerably while still remaining somewhat malleable.
This cordage has memory. For example, if wound up around a stick or a rod and allowed an extended drying period before removing again, you will find that you have a lovely, bouncy pine needle ringlet.

Depending on the level of dryness or crispness of the needles at the time of working with them, this cordage will greatly benefit from a soak in water before being worked into a project to maximize its flexibility and to minimize breakage.

Each order of this cordage will include one short bonus length of cordage for the purpose of familiarizing yourself with this material and its capabilities. Feel free to put this extra piece through its paces! Experiment with soaking, twisting, and strength tests to understand its limits and breaking point first-hand before working with the primary length you have purchased.

Thinner cordage widths, like the 1/8" size, will naturally be a bit more fragile than thicker cordage options. While this pine needle cordage is quite tough, it is only as strong as its combined number of needles.
