With European sizes they do run actual as opposed to American sizes. I wear a 40 or 42 pant. This belt was sized for 40-44 and I could barely squeeze into the very last holes. I ordered the size up and expect it to be a perfect fit. Customer service was great and the product is obviously great or I wouldn't have ordered a second one.
