🌱 Growing Instructions
Step 1 – Cold Stratification (Required)
Asian pear seeds need a cold period before they will sprout. Soak seeds in clean water for 24 hours. Place seeds in a damp paper towel or peat moss. Seal in a plastic bag or container. Refrigerate for 30–60 days (not freezer). Check occasionally to keep the medium slightly moist.

Step 2 – Planting
Fill small pots or seed trays with moist seed-starting mix. Plant seeds ½ inch deep. Lightly cover and gently water. Place in a warm, bright location (70–75°F).

Step 3 – Germination & Care
Germination usually occurs in 3–6 weeks. Keep soil evenly moist, not soggy. Provide bright light or grow lights once sprouts appear.

Step 4 – Transplanting
Once seedlings are 3–4 inches tall, transplant into larger containers or outside after frost danger has passed. Space trees at least 12–15 feet apart in the ground.

Step 5 – Ongoing Care
Water regularly during the first year. Mulch around the base to retain moisture. Prune lightly after the first year to shape growth.

🌿 With patience and care, your Asian pear trees will reward you with beautiful blooms and crisp fruit for years to come!
