NOTE: This Smith-Corona portable typewriter is not fully functional. The Q key does not move, the “2” key sticks, the front rubber feet have been replaced, and no carrying case is included.
This vintage Smith-Corona portable manual typewriter features a metal body with a burgundy finish and round glass keys in a standard QWERTY layout. Manufactured by L.C. Smith & Corona Typewriters Inc., it reflects mid-20th-century American typewriter design commonly used by writers, students, and home offices.
Smith-Corona portable models were known for their solid construction and traditional mechanical layout, including a manual carriage return, margin controls, and exposed ribbon spools. Because this example is not fully functional, it would also be well suited for use as a film, theater, or photography prop, where visual authenticity is the priority.
Condition:
Q key does not move. “2” key sticks. Front rubber feet are replacements. No carrying case. Surface scuffs, scratches, and finish wear visible.
