Highlights
This Emerson radio cabinet has to be one of the most unique and challenging designs the company created in the late 1930s. Emerson is not only known for very reliable radios, the company is also well known for its very creative and impressive cabinet designs. Artfully done, the is a vintage 1939 Emerson Bakelite Vacuum Tube Radio Model BJ-200. The unique Art Deco cabinet is a walnut color and is divided into 3 bakelite parts--front; center; and back. In bright light, the cabinet shows its beautiful shiny burl bakelite appearance. I see no breaks, chips, or cracks in the cabinet. The dial, dial pointer, dial cover, and knobs are original. This Emerson has a clean 5-tube superhet chassis with a long exterior wire antenna. It has been serviced by a technician and is tuning AM stations with clarity and quality sound. The approximate dimensions are 12" W X 8" H X 6.50" D.
This is unique Emerson with a very Art Deco design. It is in super condition and would make an exceptional addition to your collection. Or, if you are not a collector, it is just a beautiful radio to own. Your radio will be packed with care and insured when shipped.
