I goofed , this bag DOES NOT WORK FOR MAHJONG TILES . I didn’t realize this bag angled in significantly towards the bottom thus reducing the overall,size of the bag ..the widest part is 12.25 inches and that is at the top of the bag to about the 1.75 inches inch down from the zipper of the bag before it starts to taper -so you only really have 1.75 inches of the bag that is 12.25 inches wide. The final width at the bottom is just about 10 inches. Good for makeup but not mahjong tiles. I will use as a medicine bag and not mahjong tiles as intended.
