Highlights
A lovely antique georgian mourning brooch made from a 9ct rose gold clasp, set with central glazed panel of woven hair surrounded by black dot paste glass stones which were meant to simulate diamonds. Brooch fitting is base metal.
Maker/Markings: Tested as 9ct Gold, brooch fitting is base metal.
Condition: Converted from a clasp into a brooch, the brooch fitting is base metal and solder is evident as shown. Otherwise Good Antique Condition, the paste stones have aged with some discolouration as shown along with some surface wear - Please look at photos
Measurements: Overall 1.25" long x just under 1/2" wide ~ 31 x 11mm - Clasp part 5/8" x just under 1/2" ~ 15 x 11mm
