Highlights
An elegant vintage brass bell framed on a stand.
The bell was made without an internal clapper and was originally meant to be rung with a separate striker. The original striker is long gone. At some point, a resourceful caretaker fashioned a replacement from silver-toned metal topped with a small skull. While it doesn’t match the brass, it functions beautifully, producing a clear chime with a lingering resonance. Whether intentional or not, the skull transforms the bell into a quiet memento mori—a golden reminder to seize the day while we can.
