This is the pattern for the Celtic Aran Afghan I created while I was planning a trip to Ireland. It was knit in the weeks leading up to the trip, during the trip and in the few weeks after coming home. Everytime I look at it I have wonderful memories of that exciting time and I will treasure it for years to come. I hope you do too.

The finished blanket is approximately 60'' wide by 72'' long, plus an 8'' Triple Knot Fringe at each end. It is made up of 5 panels knitted separately and then seamed together. This is sure to be an heirloom in your home or a wonderful gift to give on a very special occasion.

The center of each panel has a Celtic Braid pattern, flanked by Hugs & Kisses, with cables running up each end.

Included with the pattern are instructions for materials, knitting, cabling and fringe, as well as photographs.
