* STORY / INSPIRATION OF THIS PAINTING *

This was my very first attempt at the impasto technique. I squeezed a generous amount of paint directly onto the canvas and, using a palette knife for the first time, began to move the colours around freely. Apart from the face and neck, the entire piece was created using only the palette knife.

The result was brilliant—and I truly loved the process of bringing this lady to life.

At the time, I had not yet chosen a name for the piece. But when she finally emerged, with the universe swirling around her, I thought: “Oh, Miss Universe—you are!”

The overall effect is textured, dynamic, expressive — with swirling color and cosmic atmosphere.
