The story behind this piece

I created this artwork around a very simple idea that I loved: a beautiful Persian woman with a lion as her pet.

The lion is powerful, but she is not standing behind it or being protected by it. It belongs beside her. She is calm, beautiful and completely at ease with that strength.

For me, that was the point of the piece. I wanted the woman to feel unmistakably Persian, feminine and elegant, but also powerful in her own right.

It is one of those pieces where beauty and strength are meant to exist together rather than compete with each other.

I especially love it in a living room, bedroom or gallery wall where it can be seen as more than decoration. It is a piece about presence, femininity and quiet confidence.
